Robinia pseudoacacia "Frisia"

Golden-leaved deciduous tree with finely cut leaves, reaching a maximum height of 15 metres.

Hibiscus syriacus "Hamabo"

Large deciduous shrub: flowers are trumpet-shaped, blush-white with crimson centres, and appear in late summer and autumn.

Aster novi-belgii "Jenny"

Dwarf perennial michaelmas daisy: this variety has red-purple double flowers with yellow centres, in late summer and autumn.

Cyclamen hederifolium

Tuberous perennial or corm with sugar-pink or white flowers in autumn followed by marbled silver and green leaves - good for ground cover under deciduous trees.

Parrotia persica

Small, broad deciduous tree with peeling bark, winter flowers and intense gold and red autumn colour.

Euonymus alatus

Large, deciduous shrub with curious, corky bark, winged shoots and brilliant red autumn foliage.

Semi-evergreen perennial with spiky leaves and pink or red autumn flowers.
