BAY TREE

QUESTION
My Bay Tree is looking sparse and not as dense as in previous years. Also the
leaves are curling up. Please can you advise.

ANSWER
Your Bay Tree may be looking sparse because of over or under watering. The ideal position for a Bay Tree is in full sunlight and away from windy areas. If the leaves are turning yellow, feed with Sulphate of Ammonia or any good liquid feed. This will encourage leafy growth. Use manure in the winter and if the Bay Tree is in a pot it may need repotting.
