Front
Garden Design Plan
|
The
garden before :
A large
front garden runs from the house along in front of the garage.
The
grass and borders had become overgrown, and this part of the garden
needed to be totally re-landscaped.
A path
led from here past an overgrown rockery and through a wrought iron
gate to the back garden.
Here
was a small uninviting but private walled garden with uneven paving,
an old pond that would be unsafe for children, and overgrown raised
beds.
The
brief:
The
clients wanted to make far more use of the back garden primarily
to sit and relax in, but with some shade.
The
garden needed to be low maintenance, incorporate a water feature,
and have climbers clothing the walls.
The
front garden and adjoining rockery needed to be cleared and replanted,
and made easier to maintain.
Planting
just inside the brick wall and railings needed to improve security.
