The Fishing Village Garden Design

A diagonal sleeper path lengthens the garden as it leads from the patio doors to a deck with post and rope balustrade. The rope continues around the lower edge of the deck.

The ground is covered with gravel and pebbles and is planted with grasses and architectural plants. The pebbles are grouped and banked as if washed up by a recent tide.

Attractive turquoise-blue glazed globes and pots with plants are placed on the gravel and decking.

A trellis screen provides an intriguing diffused view of the garden when entering from the side passage, and provides a sheltered spot for a bench.

Trellis attached to the wall behind the deck supports interesting nautical features such as coloured glass floats.

A natural driftwood sculpture nestles in pebbles next to the deck.
