A diagonal
sleeper path lengthens the garden as it leads from the patio doors
to a deck with post and rope balustrade. The rope continues around
the lower edge of the deck.

The
ground is covered with gravel and pebbles and is planted with grasses
and architectural plants. The pebbles are grouped and banked as
if washed up by a recent tide.
Attractive
turquoise-blue glazed globes and pots with plants are placed on
the gravel and decking.
A trellis
screen provides an intriguing diffused view of the garden when entering
from the side passage, and provides a sheltered spot for a bench.
Trellis
attached to the wall behind the deck supports interesting nautical
features such as coloured glass floats.
A natural
driftwood sculpture nestles in pebbles next to the deck.
