Large, square, silver-coloured fiberglass planters were chosen to compliment the stainless steel railing and blend in with the modern building and the machinery below.

Lightweight fiberglass planters are ideal for balconies, but wind is also a perennial problem this high up, so we made sure to add a deep layer of gravel to the bottom of each container to stop them taking off!

These were then planted in minimalist style with tough, wispy flowering grasses to give movement, lavender for blue colour, scent and silver leaves, and box balls for structure during the winter months.

The plants we chose are all tough enough to withstand extremes of both summer and winter weather.
